I’ve watched both seasons and have started reading the books now. That’s some top level science fiction.

Season 1 felt fresh, magical, and fun. Season 2 fell flat for me. It’s not bad, but felt more straight ahead actiony, and the “new” stuff felt forced and the plot twists predictable.

It’s good but not as good as the first. They story also strays far from the books in the second season, like they just made up their own plot, no parallels at all.

That’s one thing about the Expanse I really like, the TV show and the books mirror each other very closely.

I loved Season 1, but season 2 fell a bit flat for me, though I still enjoyed it.

I really liked Season 1, kind of wish they’d stuck with Joel Kinnaman for S2.

It has that ‘17 Ghost in the Shell kind of vibe (if you’ve seen that) but it works better as a longer piece series . Good action, interesting story, unique characters , and I liked the visuals.

Yeah, I mean part of the story is the same "person" in different bodies, but Kovach just felt like a different person.

To be honest, I think I stopped watching season two a few episodes before the finale. Story seemed less interesting too, although it’s been awhile...

Regardless, season one was my favorite new Sci-fi in ages!

I feel exactly the same way. Though I forced myself to watch all the way through, but as I said in ano ther reply, it felt too predictable and cookie cutter.  Not bad, but not as imaginative and original as season one.
